Play Street in May
Turning the street into a playground together! Come by and enjoy a day full of fun for the whole neighbourhood.
Since 2015, Gudvanger Straße in Prenzlauer Berg has regularly been closed to car traffic — for one afternoon, the street belongs entirely to the children and the neighbourhood.
In May, the street once again turned into one big playground: the road was covered in chalk drawings, children raced along on bobby cars, scooters and inline skates, and neighbours chatted over coffee and cake.

- Footballs and badminton sets
The play street takes place on the first Wednesday of every month on Gudvanger Straße. It is supported by the “Bündnis Temporäre Spielstraßen”, which has been working to establish temporary play streets across Berlin since 2019.
