Want to find out whether working with children is right for you? During a Voluntary Social Year (FSJ) or Federal Volunteer Service (BFD) at our Drachen Kids day-care centre in Berlin-Marzahn you gain real hands-on experience — guided by experienced educators who entrust you with more step by step.
What awaits you
- Taking part in everyday KiTa life: playing, crafting, reading aloud, joining excursions
- Supporting the educational team with activities and projects
- Insights into developmental support and parent work
- Your own small projects once you feel confident
- 25 seminar days with other volunteers for personal development
Many of our volunteers went on to vocational training or university studies in education after their year — some even returned to us as qualified educators. We look forward to meeting you!
Your profile
- Minimum age 16
- Interest in working with children
- Reliability, openness and team spirit
- German language skills B2 or higher
